About the event

Learn more about the importance of writing and reading family stories and treasuring forgotten history.

George Weinstein, author of the beloved historical novel Hardscrabble Road, its 2022 sequel Return to Hardscrabble Road, The Five Destinies of Carlos Moreno—about the illegal deportation of a million American citizens during the Great Depression, and numerous other novels, will discuss his love of family stories from bygone eras and forgotten US history, and why these topics will always fascinate readers and writers alike.

George is the Executive Director of the Atlanta Writers Club and has helped thousands of writers on their quest for publication through the Club and the twice-yearly Atlanta Writers Conference, which he has managed for 15 years.
