About the event
“Oh Christmas tree, oh Christmas tree, how (un)lovely are your branches…”
When your live tree is past its fragrant, sparkly prime, give it a new sense of purpose through the City of Suwanee’s “treecycling” campaign, which is part of Keep Georgia Beautiful’s annual ‘Bring One for the Chipper’ program. Last year, mulch from nearly 1,200 Christmas trees was spread in Suwanee parks.
Area residents may drop off their former living Christmas trees at Sims Lake Park.
Location: 4600 Suwanee Dam Road
Date: Dec. 26 through January 7.
Decorations, lights, and stands should be removed from all trees prior to donating.
Volunteers will be available to assist with unloading from 9am to 4pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 only. If you drop your tree off on this specific Saturday, you will be sent home with a sapling!
Adult and teen volunteers are needed to assist January 6.
